Summer in Phoenix, AZ: Preparing Your Home and Auto for Monsoon Weather
Welcome to summer in Phoenix. Sunny days are great for family time, road trips, and outdoor plans. At the same time, Phoenix summer brings intense heat, changing weather, and busier driving conditions. In my State Farm agency, I help local neighbors review their insurance coverage so they know what protection is in place before monsoon season and travel plans ramp up.
I’m Tez Adams, a State Farm agent in Phoenix, Arizona. If you live in the Phoenix area, I can help you understand your options for auto, homeowners, renters, life, and health insurance, and help you coordinate coverage needs for your situation.
What I help with (my experience serving Phoenix-area families)
Over the summer months, many people I speak with are balancing:
More time on the road for commutes, school schedules, and weekend plans
More weather-driven risks like hail and high winds during monsoon storms
Changes to household routines that can affect coverage needs
Travel plans, family events, and time away from home
I focus on helping you review what you already have, compare options, and make changes when they make sense for your budget and priorities.
Coverage that often matters in Phoenix summer (what I review with you)
Homeowners Insurance
I can help you look at coverage related to things that can happen during Arizona storm season, including damage from severe weather, fire risk, and other covered incidents.
Auto Insurance
Phoenix summers often mean more driving and more time on the road. I review auto coverage options with you based on how you drive, where you park, and how your household uses vehicles.
Renters Insurance
If you rent a home or apartment, I can help you review protection for your personal belongings and liability coverage, so you know what is included if something unexpected happens.
Life and Health Insurance
I can help you understand coverage options for your family’s needs. If you are thinking ahead, updating beneficiaries, or reviewing health coverage decisions, I can walk you through what to consider.
Travel and Trip Protection (when applicable)
If you are heading out of town, I can share how to think about protection while you are away from home. Your strongest fit depends on your situation and the coverage you currently have.
Local Phoenix summer checklist (practical things you can do)
If you want a simple starting point, here are steps many Phoenix-area families take before summer gets busy:
Confirm you know what your policy covers for storm-related damage (especially if you are in a higher weather-exposure area).
Review vehicle usage and driving changes for summer schedules and road trips.
Check deductibles and limits so you have a clear picture of what you would pay out of pocket if you ever file a claim.
Look at how you insure belongings if your routine changes during summer.
If you travel, think about whether your current coverage meets your needs while you are away.
When you are ready, I can help you review your policy details and options.
Fun things to do in Arizona summer (and where insurance conversations fit in)
Phoenix summer plans often include events and activities. As you plan your weeks, it can also be a good time to review insurance basics before you head out:
Visit the Desert Botanical Garden to enjoy desert plants in bloom
Go to Wet ’n’ Wild Phoenix or Golfland Sunsplash to cool off
Take an early morning hike at Camelback Mountain or South Mountain Park
Stop by the Musical Instrument Museum for a unique indoor experience
Consider a scenic drive toward Sedona and enjoy the red rock views
Spend time at Lake Pleasant for boating, fishing, and swimming
Catch a summer festival or outdoor concert in your community
If you tell me what activities and travel you have planned, I can help you think through whether your current coverage is aligned with your plans.
My goal is simple: I help you understand your coverage
I don’t want you to guess. If you have questions about your current policy, coverage limits, deductibles, or additional options, you can reach my office and ask. I will take the time to explain what you have and what changes you may want to consider.
Call or stop by my Phoenix office to review your insurance coverage for summer.
